Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions by our customers about renting, purchasing, and delivering shipping containers.

What do I need to have ready for delivery?
You’ll want a reasonably level, accessible placement area with enough clearance for the delivery equipment. If you’re unsure about access (tight driveways, soft ground, slopes), contact us and we’ll help confirm site requirements. We offer free site inspections for delivery. Our crew will come take a look at your delivery site to confirm access. If you want to have the container placed on blocks or rail road ties, please have the lumber ready on site when our driver arrives. We will help move them with a customer before placing the container. We do not take any deposits. Please have payment ready when our driver arrives. He will have a rental contract or a bill of sale document for the customer to sign and our driver will take payment upon delivery. We accept checks, cash, debit cards, and credit cards.

What are your hours of operation?
Our business hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for all locations.
Can you deliver a shipping container directly on the ground or do we need to provide blocks?
We can deliver a container directly on dirt, rock, gravel, concrete, or asphalt. We do recommend using 4x6 blocks or rail road ties to raise the container off the ground for air flow and to protect the concrete or asphalt from damage and to help prevent the container from settling on dirt
Do you rent mobile office containers?
Yes. Scotty's Storage offers mobile office container rentals for jobsites and business needs. Contact us with your location and timeline so we can recommend the best office container option and schedule delivery.
Do I need to provide my own lock?
Scotty's Storage sells shipping container locks for $20 or you can provide your own lock for the container for a rental or purchased shipping container.
Can I pick out my own container before purchase?
Yes. Scotty's Storage has shipping containers in stock in Russellville and Mayflower at their container yard locations for preview.
Can I put down a deposit for you to hold a container for me?
We will hold containers for customers if they pick out a box they like but are not ready for it to be delivered. We do not charge a deposit or any fee for holding a container. We only take money once we deliver a container.
Are your mobile office rentals air conditioned and heated?
Yes. Our mobile offices are all heated and have air conditioning units. Scotty's Storage offers free repairs on all appliances for the duration of the rental. If you have any issues, give us a call and we will dispatch our crew to repair or replace your mobile office rental.
